  The world’s biggest banks are working on crypto. Seven of the world’s major banks currently offer or are considering offering cryptocurrency services to clients,   Bloomberg reported . From Goldman Sachs to UBS, these banks are responding to client interest in the assets, although they could face   tough new oversight   from the industry’s standards body.

  Bitcoin’s hashrate plunges. The amount of processing power devoted to mining Bitcoin, or its hashrate, has fallen by nearly 50% in the last month,  The Block found . The fall is reportedly being driven by a clampdown in China, causing miners there to seek new locations for their facilities.
